17 Ranch is the home of Bruce & Ellen Burdick, where they ranch and farm family ground.
The "17" is their livestock brand, being in the family for 3 generations.
In 1999, Ellen started what was to become a 4 acre vineyard with 6 varieties planted in a two year span.
As the vineyard matured, grapes were sold to surrounding wineries, until 2006, when Ellen, with Bruce's help, started their winery.
17 Ranch Vineyard is our main source of grapes.
As a working ranch, you can expect to see hats and working attire at the winery.

Winery equipment is very important to us. We wanted to be able to make fruit forward
wines, which required tanks with cooling capability. Our tanks allow us to produce
3,000 gal. of wine a year from our grapes. At the off season, we make mead from our
local beekeeper. Come and take a tour of our winery. |

Ellen points out that not all vineyards can show pictures with frost on the grapevines.
